Every bug is worth points. Tough bugs (beetles, snails, centipedes) take more than one whack.
Missing costs you points — and more the deeper you go (5 at first, rising to 30 in the final area), so aim, don't spam! A bug that escapes costs you half its value.
When food appears, bugs rush it and tear in with a big first bite. Swat them before they reach it: a bug caught mid-meal is only worth half its points.
If the food survives, you earn a bonus: the more of it left, the bigger the bonus — and from level 21 on, a saved snack also adds 20 seconds to the clock. If it gets devoured, you lose points.
Reach the target score before time runs out to clear the level. Earn up to three stars!
Ladybugs are friends! Squashing one costs you 40 points. Let them wander.
Flies see you coming! They dart away from a creeping pointer or a close swat. A dodge takes a moment to recover, so follow up fast.
Boss levels (every 5th): squash the boss before the clock hits zero. Bosses heal while they eat and their minions never stop coming. Each boss fights dirty in its own way: minion shields, burrowing, flipflop-snagging webs, blackouts, stink bombs, armoured shells. And when a boss glows red, do NOT hit it, or you'll be stung and stunned!
Wounded bosses get MAD. Below a third of its health a boss goes enraged: glowing hot, twice as fast, calling minions twice as often and cycling its tricks quicker.
